My ex-boyfriend was the one whom taught me to drive. He let me use his car to practice with since I had not bought a new car of my own. After countless weeks of making errors, I finally wanted to test myself and see if I could pass the test. The first time I took the test I failed because I went over the speed limit by five miles. This was frustrating because I had done the parallel parking correctly, one of the hardest things on the test. I was devastated but still did not loose hope. My boyfriend at the time suggested that I looked into driving lessons prices but I was too stubborn to take the class. After weeks of practicing, I yet again attempted to pass my drivers test. This time I failed due to not stopping completely at a stop sign, being winter it was icy and my car would not come to a complete stop. This irritated me a lot, not only that I had failed the test but that the instructor that I had acted as if I was a crazed maniac with my driving, instructing me to head back to the dmv as safe as I could. I kept on telling my boyfriend that I was going to pass the test myself and that I did not need the course. After a few more weeks, I attempted the test yet again, still not giving up hope. I failed to yield to oncoming traffic at a traffic light and barely missed a semi. This scared me into thinking that I would never get my license and that it was not safe to drive. This was a huge surprise since I had failed the test three times prior. The week after I took the course I once again took my drivers test, this time passing it! Now that I have my license I am looking into new things to drive such as a four wheeler or a scooter. Life is so much easier when you know how to drive.
